Welcome to our new blog!



We have officially launched our new blog today! This is a place where you can read about plumbing advice, tips, and tricks from our owner and plumbing contractor of 15 years, Chris Gille. It is also a place you can get to know us a little better.


We are a small family business located on Garnet Ave. in the heart of Pacific Beach, San Diego. We have been proudly serving Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Clairemont Mesa, Mission Beach, and Point Loma for the last 2 years. As of right now, we are small. It is just me and Chris, a husband & wife duo living & working in PB. Being small has been great because we can really focus on customer service. We’ve gotten to know our customers personally and have formed trusting & lasting relationships with many San Diegan homeowners & business owners. We not only strive to satisfy our customers, but “WOW” them with our professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge.


Speaking of knowledge, I have to brag about my husband for a minute. Chris has been plumbing for over 15 years. (You would never know it because he has amazing genes & looks like a 30-something year old.) He worked for numerous plumbing companies in the past, but created & opened City Plumber in 2007. He passed the California Plumbing Contractors State License Board (on his first try) and received his C36-Plumbing License #1003232 on April 28, 2015. This is the man who is working or will be working on your plumbing.


Most companies have numerous plumbers working under one person’s license. These plumbers and service technicians require no experience or licensing. You really don’t know who is about to open your walls or jackhammer up your concrete. It’s a scary thought. But at City Plumber, you get the owner and his expertise. It’s rare having the boss out in the field, doing every job himself. But it guarantees you will get the most up-to-code, quality work that you deserve.


Now with that, there is a high demand for Chris. He is usually booked one, sometimes two weeks in advance. Our customers really really like the work he does and call back over and over again. We try our best to accommodate everyone and leave room for emergency jobs throughout the week & on the weekend. But I’m not going to lie; we are BUSY.


That is why in 2019 we plan on expanding, little by little, until we find and assemble the best team possible. But (and this is a big BUT), in order to maintain our quality of service, we will only be hiring the best. Until we can clone Chris, we will need plumbers who have a high level of experience & knowledge, exceptional communication & people skills, and strong professionalism. How will you get that kind of plumber, you might ask? We are willing to pay for it (literally), by offering competitive salaries, benefits, and bonuses. This is how we plan on keeping our quality of work & service high for our loyal customers.


To wrap up my first blog post, I hope the thing that stays with you the most is how much our customers & clients mean to us. We truly care about our customers and are constantly figuring out ways to solve problems without compromising your happiness. Our customers have been so good to us since we’ve moved down to San Diego, and we can’t tell you how much we appreciate you.
